The International Goat Association is the only international organization specially dedicated to the development and the promotion of goat activities.

We are a unique network of 260 individual and organizational members from 63 countries.

We support the publication of SMALL RUMINANT RESEARCH and encourage new research and young students from developing countries.

We assist the organization of regional events and the International Conference on Goats at least every four years.

We plan to use our unique expertise on goat production to make a significant contribution to small herds in rural areas. We hope you will join us in this effort.

Recent achievements:

• A NEW board was elected in Queretaro,
• We have developed a concrete ACTION PLAN which we are now implementing,
• Our new site will allow more and BETTER communication with our members,
• Our new site will soon contain more documentation and information on ORGANIZATIONS, PROJECTS, MEETINGS, SYMPOSIUMS, and TRAININGS,
• We will support more EVENTS to strengthen national and local initiatives,
• We are in the process of creating a network of IGA Training Centers.

We at the International Goat Association will continue our activities to promote goats and the diversity of their production systems in favor of rural welfare and food supplies that reduce damage to the environment.

Please consider joining us in this effort, become an IGA member today.
